Who's behind Enyo™?
Hello! I'm Ru, a solo female founder who started Enyo in her early 40s with no textile background, no manufacturing contacts, no e-commerce experience, and an embarrassingly long list of questions. What I did have was over a decade of running a small business in live events and media, a period that had gone wild, and absolutely no tolerance for problems that should have been solved already.
Turns out that life in live events and a period gone rogue prepare you well for chaos. I was just trying to solve my own problems, and apparently too many of us have the same ones. So here I am, determined to make reusable period care easier, less frustrating, and worth switching to. And I can't wait for you to experience the difference.
STORY IN A NUTSHELL
How it all started?
I entered perimenopause without even knowing it, and found myself dealing with unexpected cycles, unfamiliar flows, and too many leaks. I tried many reusable period products, things that shifted, leaked, or stayed damp. One day, after a long day of feeling damp between my legs plus another annoying leak at work, I came home, sat on the toilet, stared at the stains on one of my favourite pants, and said to my partner “I’m so fed up and I’m going to do something about it!”
So I booked a solo flight to Taiwan after finding out about an international textile trade show there. I arrived with a long list of questions and a lot of confidence about building the most eco-friendly brand I possibly could. The naive me thought I could just go there, pick a supplier, choose my fabrics, and start building the most eco-friendly brand possible. Well, I said naive, didn’t I? Being "eco-friendly" really isn't as easy as one may think, but that’s another story for a blog post. Needless to say, I left the trade show with a much better understanding, a better set of questions, and a clearer vision. Since then, I've been learning about textile science, manufacturing, and everything related as much as possible.
Side note, have you ever tried changing your period underwear in an airplane washroom? I tried that on my return flight and wow. Tiny cubicle, turbulence, absolutely nowhere to move. I really wished I had packed my reusable pads instead.
Our Beliefs
What do we believe in?
Imperfect beats perfect.
More of us making the reusable choice imperfectly will always do more good than a few of us doing it perfectly. Let's be real though, it's easier said than done. Switching to reusables takes willingness. Staying with reusables takes more. There is the washing, the scrubbing, the bloody sink, the drying, the mental note to pack a pad before your period arrives, the learning curve of figuring out what works for your body and your flow. That can all add up, especially on top of an already busy life.
No guilt-tripping.
When I was looking for my own reusable period care solutions, I was surprised by how guilty I felt browsing so many brands. That kind of messaging adds unnecessary weight to something that is already an extra effort. What I wanted, and what I believe we all deserve, is a community that lifts each other up instead. What we need is comfortable, easy to maintain, high-performance products to choose from, because we actually want to, and because the products make it worth it. When the experience is better, more of us stick with it. Enyo is here to reduce the friction as much as possible.

STORY BEHIND THE BRAND
Why the name?
Enyo™ is named after the Greek goddess of war and bloodshed. A warrior on the battlefield, fierce, unapologetic, and unrelenting, present in the chaos.
I wanted a brand name that meant something. It had to be recognizable, carry real weight, and reflect exactly what this brand was being built to be.
We all deserve a fearless companion in the chaos, one who has our backs. That is what Enyo is here for, fighting with you.
